Georgia-Filmed Hit Series “The Walking Dead” Receives Two Emmy Nominations

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced this year’s nominations July 10 and AMC’s “The Walking Dead” has been honored with two Emmy nominations. The show was nominated for: Season 4, Episode 1, “30 Days Without an Accident” in the Outstanding Special and Visual Effect’s category as well as for Outstanding Sound Editing on Season 4, Episode 8, “Too Far Gone.”

These nominations add to the 26 total awards that AMC has received this year. AMC’s other hit series “Breaking Bad” and “Mad Men” received 16 and 8 nominations respectively.

The 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be broadcast live Sunday, August 25 at 8/7c on NBC.

“The Walking Dead” will return to AMC this October.
