Atlanta Film Festival

The annual Atlanta Film Festival has just taken off! Every April since 1976, Atlanta has hosted this international film festival that screens independent films. The Landmark Midtown Art Cinema is the official home to the Atlanta Film Festival and along with the Plaza Theatre and 7 Stages Theatre. The Atlanta Film Festival is one of many Academy Award qualifying festivals, meaning that the films that do well are applicable to be nominated for the Academy Awards. So what does the Atlanta Film Festival have in store this year? This year the festival is held March 28- April 6 in the usual locations and includes genres such as horror and sci-fi. The festival has many exciting new independent films to see and in-person dialogues with filmmakers and industry professionals. And don’t forget the Pink Peach prize given out to the best LGBTQ film chosen by the Pink Peach jury!
