Third Rail Studios Links with Locals to Create Signature Brew

Third Rail studios is partnering with the Chamblee based brewpub Hopstix to bring a signature beer to crowds this summer.

After president of operations Dan Rosenfelt spoke with Hopstix owner Andy Tran, they felt like it would be a great way to connect with Atlanta. “A big goal of Third Rail studios and Integral with their Assembly project is to really connect with Atlanta as a whole, as well as local communities like Brookhaven and Chamblee. I don’t want to be the kind of studio that tucks itself away,” said Rosenfelt.

The new brew is called Third Rail Ale, and is an India Pale Ale make with fresh orange peels, lemongras, galangal root, and Kaffir lime leaves. The beer will be available on draft at Hopstix starting June 30th, and 20 percent of the sales will be donated to Atlanta’s own re:imagine/ATL, a non-profit immersing our youth into the arts and entertainment world.

“We wanted to make a summertime ale that’s really drinkable on a hot day in Atlanta,” Rosenfelt said. “Andy also wanted to bring some Asian fusion flavors into it, which he specializes in at the restaurant.”

Third Rail Studios resides in the Assembly Yards development, hosting films like New Line’s Rampage, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

“This collaboration represents the intersection of the arts — whether it be film and TV, beer or food, we are committed to making deep connections in our community,” Rosenfelt said.
