The second annual Atlanta Sci-Fi Film Festival kicks off this evening, hosted by the Multicultural Sci-Fi Organization.
The launch party will be held at Google Fiber in Ponce City Market at 7pm. Saturday will feature curated and competing films from around the world at Georgia Tech, to be voted on by the audience in attendance. Also screening on Saturday are two films from Neill Blomkamp (director of District 9), and the first-ever U.S. screening of The Beyond by Hasraf Dullul. Sunday will host a screening of the 80s Ridley Scott classic Blade Runner: The Final Cut at Regal Atlantic Station IMAX theater.
This year’s Atlanta Sci-fi Film Festival is presented by the support of Google Fiber, It’s Creative Juice, PC&E, Old Fourth Distillery, ActionVFX, FilmStro, and more. Full details can be found here.
