The Queer Eye Fab Five Move to Missouri for Season 3

The Netflix reboot Queer Eye has filmed season three in Kansas City, Missouri.

The show Queer Eye is based out of Atlanta, and spent the first two seasons giving well needed life makeovers to Georgia residents. This season the guys, Antoni Porowski, Bobby Berk, Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown and Tan France, have given their help to those in Kansas City. Their work in Atlanta landed them three Emmy wins, and they hope to continue their success in other cities.

According to Kansas City film commissioner Stephane Scupham, “It has been an outpouring of love and support from citizens of Kansas City, from people to businesses and organizations in Kansas City.” The creator of Queer Eye has been quoted agreeing that, “The welcome mat of Kansas City has been more than anything I’ve ever seen in my 30-plus years of doing this. They’ve welcomed us into the city, showed us the towns and the locations. We could not be happier. And why the Midwest? I’m a Midwestern kid. I was born and raised in Cincinnati. Honestly, I think [this region] was the next step. We looked at all kinds of cities along the way. But we really realized that this is the heartland.” Commissioner Scupham also explained that the fab five made their way to their city because executive producer and Scout Productions co-founder Michael Williams loved the town for many years, and felt it would be a great place to bring Queer Eye.

Reports have shared that Queer Eye will likely be returning to Atlanta for some episodes in the future, but for now fans can enjoy the new scenery as the show hits Netflix with their new season March 15th.
