The Atlanta Film Festival in association with Georgia Production Partnership will be conducting a workshop this Saturday. The workshop is an intense five-hour course on The Production Basics of Indie Filmmaking presented by Producer Linda Burns.

Linda has done it all. As a producer she has read scripts, budgeted, scheduled, negotiated, pitched and everything else in between. She emphasizes that it is important to always be on time and stay on budget.

This workshop is an introduction to production basics that will help novice filmmakers with pre-production paperwork and contracts, formulate a budget, and much more. The workshop also delves into the enticing Georgia tax benefits and how to keep track of them.

This workshop is a part of the Atlanta Film Festival’s year-round programming aimed to lead the Atlanta community in “creative and cultural discovery through the moving image.”
