Looking for some more training before the new year? Savannah College of Art and Design will be offering a ‘Motion Picture Boot Camp‘ on December 19 and December 20 in Atlanta.

Participants will learn from industry professionals through an intense two-day workshop about the responsibilities of different departments, learn the lingo of a film set, get hands on experience with pieces of equipment, and in the end put their skills to the test.

Throughout the workshops participants will get a chance to gain knowledge as a Set PA, Office, PA as well as departmental knowledge in both Camera and Electric. Each department has their own protocol and terminology that is essential to survive on set or in the office.

The film industry continues to grow in Georgia everyday with different positions needed across the board. If you have always wanted to be a part of the movie magic, why not get a head start on your New Year’s Resolution a little bit early?
