Ozark Receives Nearly Immediate Order for a Season Two

Netflix original Ozark is renewed for a second season, less than a month after the release of its first season.

Ten new episodes will be created for season two of this new successful original, following a family’s relocation from Chicago to the Ozarks after a money laundering scheme went wrong. Jason Bateman is the leading actor, as well as the director and executive producer on the show. Laura Linney plays Batemans wife; other notable stars from season one include Sofia Hublitz, Skylar Gaertner, Julia Garner, Jordana Spiro, Jason Butler Harner, Esai Morales, Peter Mullan and Lisa Emery. The show also has roots from creators and producers Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams, along with writer and producer Chris Mundy.

Many Netflix originals released this year have received great acclaim and second seasons. Bateman is also starring in Arrested Development which Netflix has brought back to life and will be releasing more episodes. His production company Aggregate Films is also behind Netflix originals House of Cards and Zero Gravity.
