November 19—Atlanta Film Society presented the 2nd annual New Mavericks Film Series on November 19, hosted this year at the historic Plaza Atlanta Theatre.

An open mic panel, happy hour mixer, and closing reception punctuated two shorts blocks: “The Herstory of the Female Filmmaker” and “Belle Raisers: Southeastern Shorts.” Tickets to the screenings and panel were paywhat-you-can by suggested donation. The Supermoon Soirée reception was free and open to the public in celebration and support of women who champion each other on both sides of the lens.
