The Macon Film Festival proudly announced its 16th annual event to combine in-person and virtual screenings and events. The in-person festival will be held in Macon, Georgia, on August 19-22, 2021, with film screenings at the Douglass Theatre, Georgia Sports Hall of Fame, and the Mark Smith Planetarium at the Museum of Arts and Sciences. The virtual festival will be on August 26-29 on the Macon Film Festival channel hosted by Film Festival Flix.
The hybrid festival will showcase over 85 films from around the world. This year’s list of official selection films will feature Narrative Feature, Documentary, Narrative Shorts, LGBTQ Shorts, Student Shorts, Music and Fulldome. This year’s lineup also includes multiple Georgia Made blocks, including two Macon filmmaker showcases.
