“Let’s Be Cops” is one of the upcoming film releases that was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia. The film written, produced, and directed by Luke Greenfield features a cast of comedians including: Jake Johnson, Damon Wayans Jr, Nina Dobrev, Angela Kerecz, Andy Garcia, James D’Arcy, Rob Riggle, Keegan-Michael Key, and Anna Colwell.

The film is set in Los Angeles, but was filmed here in Atlanta, Georgia. (There’s a change of pace for you.) “Let’s Be Cops” is about two friends who dress as police officers for a costume party and are mistaken for real police officers. This turns into a problem when they become involved in a mess of mobsters and dirty detectives, and they must put their fake badges on the line.

Johnson and Wayans returned to Atlanta recently to promote the film at the Atlanta Street Food Festival that was hosted this past weekend. Audiences had two opportunities to preview the film in Piedmont Park.

Wayans told Access Atlanta that “what was cool about the movie is it was us pretending to pretend to be cops.” Included in the article by Access Atlanta is a video clip by the guys sharing their advice on “how to become a fake cop.”
