According to Comicbook.com, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will be filming in Atlanta. It’s expected to film at Pinewood Studios which is located on 288 acres with 5 soundstages and is currently being expanded. Marvel has taken up shop at Pinewood Atlanta Studios for some time now, most recently filming Ant-Man and soon Captain America 3. The writer and director, James Gunn, confirmed the location in a Q&A over facebook. When asked if he will be in attendance at this years DragonCon in Atlanta, Gunn replied “Maybe. I’m gonna try. Because we’re filming in Atlanta, I hope it works out for my schedule.”

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is set to premiere in theatres May 5, 2017.
