Fun February Workshops

Love is in the air as well as some great workshop opportunities coming up!

Atlanta: Atlanta Film Society’s Linda Burns is back to help those interested in entering into the film and television industry. The Atlanta Film Society and Georgia Production Partnership have come together again to bring ‘Intro to the Film Business.’ This introductory workshop walks attendees through the basics of departments, duties, and everything else in between. This is a perfect opportunity for those unsure of where he or she may fit.

Later on in the afternoon, Linda will be tapping into her experience to help attendees figure out why they are not getting the call from employers in ‘Creating a Proper Film Resume’ workshop. The standard resume may not be what employers are looking for; however, that does not mean experience cannot be translated to fit the business. During this workshop, Linda will address how to make resumes talk the talk and how to put attendees on the right track to employment.

Savannah: It is time for children to shine in ‘On-Camera Acting for Kids!’ BASECAMP Savannah and instructor Carrie Anne Hunt are ready to help the little stars work on their skills. Carrie Anne began her career on stage, and has worked her way on screen from ‘Sleepy Hollow,’ ‘Drop Dead Diva,’ and ‘Magic Mike XXL.’ The workshop will focus on helping kids with script analysis and how to connect with their scene partner. Kids will do exercises on and off camera to see how quickly they can react, and still bring out their unique personalities. There will also be a Q&A session for parents after the sessions!
