Eddie Pence’s stand-up special, “The (Un)Special,” was acquired by Comedy Dynamics and will be released on their network. The special was produced by Atlanta-based company Hooty Hoo Productions.
“Collaborating with Comedy Dynamics during the release process was a pleasure,” said Dustin Jacobs, co-founder of Hooty Hoo Productions. “Directing Eddie’s special was an amazing experience. I hope to continue to these collaborations in the future.”
The special was shot in Pence’s hometown of Washington D.C. and funded by his devoted fans, nicknamed “Eddiots.”
“This comedy special is actually special because it was a entirely crowdsourced by my fans,” said Pence. “I could not have done this without them. Also, recording it in my hometown was a dream come true for me.”
Comedy Dynamics was founded by Brian Volk-Weiss and is an independent comedy production and distribution company. The special will be available on September 1 on Comcast, Apple TV, Dish, Google Play, DirecTV, Vimeo, YouTube and more. The album will be available on Sirius XM, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Pandora and others on September 4.
