Burt Reynolds will present three films at the RKDS Film Festival next month
The RKDS Film Festival will be highlighting the south Georgia film industry. They hope to showcase talent and productions from south Georgia to help grow the industry in the area. Golden Globe winner and film icon Burt Reynolds will be in attendance all three days of the festival, presenting his films The Last Movie Star, Gator and Smokey and the Bandit. Actress Simone Griffeth will also be in attendance to present the 1973 film Sixteen, in which she was the star, as well as her recent film Untouched. Both were filmed in south Georgia.

The RKDS schedule is as follows:
Thurs., July 12:
3:00 p.m.– Burt Reynolds presentation from Mayor John Gayle, delivering the
Key to the City and proclaiming Burt Reynolds Day. Media, city,
county, state dignitaries and VIP TICKET HOLDERS will be in attendance.
Mr. Reynolds will give a speech and talk to the media. Event will
take place at Mathis City Auditorium Multi-Purpose Annex Room.
Wine & cheese / meet & greet of actors, film-makers & guests
Screening films will be shown on the large screen in the auditorium
