Atlanta productions scored big at this year’s MTV Movie and TV Awards, with five awards snagged by Atlanta-made movies and television.

Stranger Things took top honors with Show of the Year, beating out contenders Game of Thrones, Pretty Little Liars, and even Atlanta. Millie Bobby Brown of Stranger Things claimed Best Actor in a Show, overtaking fellow Atlanta show actors Donald Glover and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Morgan claimed his own ground with Best Villain, for his role as Negan in The Walking Dead. Hidden Figures claimed two honors, with Taraji P. Henson taking the Best Hero mantle and the movie itself earning Best Fight Against the System.

The MTV Movie and TV Awards, originally just the MTV Movie Awards, has revamped to honor projects on screens big and small.
