Atlanta Season Two to Start Production in September
By Oz Online | Published on August 18, 2017

Season two production for the FX hit Atlanta resumes in September.

The release of season two was pushed back to 2018 following Atlanta’s award wins earlier this year due to creator and star Donald Glover being cast in the new Star Wars Han Solo film. Glover assures fans that the wait for season two will be well worth it, claiming it will be “better than the first season.”

Atlanta premiered in September of 2016, and was immediately well received, winning two Golden Globes, the Peabody Award (based out of the University of Georgia), a Critic’s Choice Television Award, a PGA Award, and more. The show is currently nominated for six Emmy Awards.

Atlanta follows two cousins in Atlanta trying to make it in the rap game, much of which Glover created based off his own life experiences as the rap performer Childish Gambino. In addition to Glover, Brian Tyree Henry, Lakeith Stanfield and Zazie Beetz co-star in the series.
