Atlanta Season 2 Pushed to 2018

Season 2 of FX’s Golden Globe winning show Atlanta has been pushed to 2018, according to FX.

The network cited Donald Glover’s production schedule for the delay, with his role as Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo Star Wars film, but FX Networks CEO John Landgraf said the network was “fully supportive” of Glover’s needs. “We are thrilled for him,” Landgraf said.

“Lando’s a big deal to me,” Glover said at the Golden Globes on Sunday. “It was literally the first toy I ever got.” At the Globes, Glover landed two awards as Atlanta won best comedy series and he was named best actor in a comedy series.

While no exact date has been given for Atlanta season 2, Glover may also develop new series for FX Productions under a new overall deal he just signed.
