Women in Film and Television Atlanta (WIFTA) is set to host a pitch festival this Feb. 24, with the goal of inspiring more local content creation. An impressive slate of major TV networks and film executives will be in attendance, including HBO, NBC/Universal, MTV, E! Entertainment, BET and more. The festival intends to further promote the notion that Atlanta is not just a great place to film projects, but also to find great, original content.

Those in attendance will share their ideas for both series and films. They will also be informed as to what networks are looking for, as well as learning how to better target specific networks. WIFTA’s aim is for creators to get an audience with the right type of network, as opposed to waiting for a Hollywood giant to accept a meeting.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 24 at The Wimbish House, 1150 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta Ga. 30309.
