The Neon Highway Filmed in GA
By Oz Online | Published on January 19, 2024

After filming entirely in Georgia, The Neon Highway is releasing this February on the streaming destination Plex.

The film, set in Nashville, tells the story of an up-and-coming singer/songwriter looking to skyrocket their career in the Music City. William Wages is directing while Beau Bridges and Rob Mayes will star alongside country singers Lee Brice and Pam Tillis.

When Mayes’s character gets into a brutal car accident, he misses out on his chance to make it big in the music industry. Twenty years later, he is financially struggling to take care of his family when he suddenly meets a has-been country music star, played by Beau Bridges, who helps him rekindle his career.

“I didn’t know that at age 79 I would be stepping into a recording studio with some of the best country and western music singers around and playing the part of a country and western music star,” said Bridges.

Filming took place in Columbus, Hamilton, and Pine Mountain, GA back in 2021. As expected, the primary inspiration for filming a Nashville-centered movie in Georgia is our lucrative tax incentives.
