Insurgent is the second installment of the Divergent trilogy and based on a series of books written by Veronica Roth. The film stars Shailene Woodley and Theo James who are on the run after being hunted by Kate Winslet’s character, the leader of the Erudite faction. This alternative-reality sequel follows the lives of “divergents” trying to save themselves and the world they now live in. Filming for the movie took place in Atlanta from May to September 2014. Scenes were shot everywhere from the Archives Building to Peachtree Street in downtown.

Insurgent had Thursday night showings last night, but opens nationwide on today: Friday, March 20th.
