Stranger Things turns Gwinnett Place Mall into “Starcourt Mall” in season three

Netflix has released a teaser for the new season of Stranger Things showing the new mall “Starcourt,” or as we know it, the Gwinnett Place Mall. Back in May the production took over the GPM filming in some of the parts of the mall that are struggling. The location fit the part well as it was built in the 1980’s, and still has a retro look. The hit show is no stranger to filming in Georgia, having filmed almost the entire series within the state in places such as Stone Mountain park, Emory University, and Bellwood Quarry. The new season not only promises a location you are sure to recognize, but the star Priah Ferguson, an 11 year old native who plays Erica Sinclair (Lucas’ younger sister) in the show.
