The Step Up and Pitch It Summit 1.0 comes to Atlanta this November
The Step Up and Pitch It Summit 1.0 is coming to Atlanta Technical College to provide new opportunities and possibilities. The event will take place on November 2nd and 3rd, kicking off with a keynote speaker. The Georgia Film Commission’s Lee Thomas will run the panel discussion alongside other industry professionals on the panel such as Roger Bobb, Dianne Ashford, Jason Hoch and Donald Albright. The theme will be discussing the “State of the Film and TV Industry.” The goal of this event is to provide creative people a chance to present their screenwriting work to the industry professionals who have the ability to take them to the next level.
The summit will include workshops lead by industry professionals with the hope of providing insight into production, as well as the legal and fiscal side of creation. Friday concludes with a reception by the City of Atlanta, where a $1000 scholarship will be award to the best student film, as well as to the best work by someone 55 and older. On Saturday screenwriters will get face-to-face opportunities with producers, show-runners and managers who are eager to hear new pitches.
