Third Rail Studios will developed on a six-acre section of the former GM plant in Doraville. This is the first major project to emerge from the GM site which was sold to the Integral Group last year. The Integral Group is partnering with Capstone South Properties to develop the studio. The 130,000 square feet building will be retrofitted into a studio, but once done, the studio will be 270,000 square feet. The name “Third Rail Studios” comes from the three rail lines that surrounded the GM Doraville plant. Third Rail Studios will be the newest studio to be built with Eagle Rock Distributing Company opening two sound stages within the last year.
