The new Ranger camera system is being used to film Stranger Things
Red Digital Cinema has released their new Ranger camera system, now being used on the locally filmed Netflix show Stranger Things. The show may look like it is in the 1980’s, but they are using the newest and best technology available on the market. Available now to authorized rental houses, the new camera system has excited camera crews throughout the industry.
The RCS is a high end all in one camera that is well suited for studio configurations. It boasts great temperature management, an ability to handle heavyy duty power sources and more. The RCS “includes the benefits of Red’s cinematic full frame 8K sensor, MONSTRO, in an all-in-one camera system that includes three SDI outputs (two mirrored and one independent) allowing two different looks to be output simultaneously; wide-input voltage (11.5V to 32V); 24V and 12V power outs (two of each); one 12V P-Tap port; integrated 5-pin XLR stereo audio input (Line/Mic/+48V Selectable); as well as genlock, timecode, USB and control.”
