Universal Pictures will begin production on the upcoming biopic First Man in Atlanta this November.

The film stars Ryan Gosling as Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon in 1969. Alongside Gosling, stars in the picture include Claire Foy, Kyle Chandler, Jason Clark, Corey Stoll, and Jon Bernthal. First Man is directed by Damien Chazelle, with writing by Academy Award winner Josh Singer, based on the book First Man by James R. Henson. As production starts up in November, the current release date is set for October 12, 2018.
