Moonshine Post Production has revealed the winners of its annual Moonshine Post Finishing Grants.

The grants, awarded in collaboration with the Atlanta Film Festival (ATLFF), are designated this year for the winners of the Best Georgia Short and Best Georgia Feature categories at the 2024 festival.

Moonshine Post, an Atlanta-based company specializing in post-production for film, television, and advertising, offer these grants to provide color finishing services to independent filmmakers featured in the Atlanta Film Festival’s official selection.

The grant for short films is valued at $4,000, while the grant for feature films amounts to $25,000.

Jenna Kanell, who both wrote and starred in the feature film “Faceless After Dark,” along with director Raymond Wood, were among the recipients of this year’s grants. Julio Palacio was also a winner, earning recognition for his short film “Makayla’s Voice.”

“Receiving the Georgia Film Award at the Atlanta Film Festival — an event I’ve been attending as an avid cinephile for nearly 20 years now — along with this Finishing Grant from Moonshine Post — another organization I’ve admired since (literally) day one — is an incredible honor, and one that I do not take lightly given the many talented filmmakers in the Southeast who are equally deserving of this level of support,” says Wood.
