As a part of its fifth season, GIRLGAMER Esports Festival is set to make its US debut in Atlanta! To round out the 2023 scheduling, the women-only esports circuit will also touch down in South Korea, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, and South Africa.
To host their US debut, GIRLGAMER has partnered with top North American Esports organizations, Skillshot Media and Ghost Gaming. The event will take place on December 13, 2023 at the Skillshot Hub, a mixed-use event center.
While the titles that will be played at each national festival haven’t been announced yet, we do know that winners from each will qualify for the GIRLGAMER world finals, in which teams will compete in games of CS:GO, Rocket League, and League of Legends among others (time and location TBD).
Since its creation in 2017, the festival is well on its way to becoming the premiere female esports circuit in the whole world and has hosted previous events in Macau, Lisbon, Singapore, South Korea, Brazil, and more.
“GIRLGAMER is excited to extend our global celebration of women in gaming into the United States with this partnership. The esports ecosystem in the city of Atlanta and across the state of Georgia is very well-developed, as is the esports experience and mission commitment of our United States event partner Skillshot,” said festival organizer Thiago Fernades.
