Atlanta-based Crazy Legs Productions is searching for a screenwriter to help develop a biopic version of the book, The Most Beautiful: My Life with Prince, written by Prince’s first wife, Mayte Garcia.
The new screenwriter will join producers Tom Capello, Scott Thigpen, and Maria Halliday as well as associate producer Gilbert Davison, the president of Prince’s estate and his former personal manager.
Prince had a magical run as an artist to become one of the most memorable singers of all time. He ended his career with forty studio albums, a Golden Globe, and an Academy Award before his tragic death at fifty-seven years old in 2016.
Crazy Legs Productions is ready to use their filmmaking skills to honor his memory through the new biopic. The production center has also seen an uptick in activity as three films and four documentaries have filmed there in 2023 with more planned in 2024.
“Crazy Legs is the perfect partner to bring this deeply personal reflection of my life with Prince to the screen,” added Garcia. “Their diverse body of work shows an artistry and craft to tell personal stories about the most complex, most beautiful human beings. This film will provide an intimate look at the man I love, our life together, and his lasting influence.”
