ATLFF 2025 Now Accepting Submissions
By Oz Online | Published on May 17, 2024

Although the 2024 edition of the Atlanta Film Festival (ATFF) recently concluded, preparations have begun for next year’s event with ATFF 2025 now accepting submissions!

As one of the most prominent festivals in the nation, ATLFF celebrates the creativity of both up-and-coming and seasoned filmmakers. Remarkably, it is one of fewer than twenty film festivals in the United States that qualify for the Academy Awards® in each of the short film categories: Narrative Short, Documentary Short, and Animated Short.

ATLFF has also earned accolades from various prestigious sources, being listed as a “Top 50 Festival Worth the Entry Fee” and one of the “25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World” by MovieMaker magazine. It has also been celebrated as a Best Film Festival by Creative Loafing, Sunday Paper, USA Today’s 10 Best, and Atlanta Magazine. Additionally, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution has named it the Best Spring Festival.

Over the years, more than $100,000 in combined cash and prizes have been awarded by the ATFF.

Filmmakers from Georgia can benefit from a reduced submission fee for projects that were filmed within the state and directed by someone currently residing in Georgia. This discount also applies to non-live-action films, provided the director lives in Georgia and part of the production took place in the state.
