Celebrating its 43rd year, the Atlanta Film Festival is the region’s preeminent celebration of cinema.
The organization offers entertainment, networking, education & professional development year-round. The festival itself is one of the largest and longest-running in the region. It is also the most distinguished event in its class, recognized as the ‘Best Spring Festival’ by Atlanta Journal-Constitution, ‘Best Film Festival’ by Creative Loafing, Sunday Paper, 10Best and Atlanta Magazine, as well as one of the ’25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World’ and one of ’50 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee’ by MovieMaker Magazine.
Creative Conference
As ATLFF’s educational programming track, the five-day Creative Conference consists of roughly 40 panels, talks and demos that delve deeper into the captivating world of cinema, focusing on topics such as screenwriting, acting, producing, casting, funding and distribution—and how they all come together to make a film or television episode.
SOUND + VISION
Now in it’s seventh year, SOUND + VISION–ATLFF is a signature midweek event. A unique blend of music and visuals, this celebration is a sensory immersive experience like no other. Featuring some of Atlanta’s hottest bands, tastiest food trucks, most daring experimental films and music videos – this event is a true festival highlight.
The Films We Program
We take pride in the films we program; we’re constantly searching for fresh, innovative, and inspiring means of cinema. As one of only two dozen Academy Award-qualifying events in the country, the Atlanta Film Festival showcases nearly 200 films annually to over 27,000 attendees across a ten day event each spring. Each year the Atlanta Film Festival receives over 8,000 submissions from 120+ countries across the globe.
