The CineMás Film Series Celebrates Latin American Film in Atlanta This November

This November, the CineMás Film Series will showcase a series of Latin American films at its new home: Atlanta’s Plaza Theatre.

This year’s event will be featuring three films, from Guatemala, Cuba, and Argentina, respectively. The screenings begin November 4th, showing at 7pm each proceeding Friday.

The film Ixcanul starts the series off. Created by Guatemalan filmmaker Jayro Bustamante, this features the story of an indigenous woman’s experience with the modern world. The following Friday features Espejuelos Oscuros (Dark Glasses) a debut screening about Cuba’s history from Jessica Rodriguez. To close out the festival, German Kral’s Un Tango Más (Our Last Tango), showcases the relationship between Argentinian tango dancers.

Tickets are $10 per screening can can be purchased through http://bit.ly/2epQRwp. All Atlanta Film Society members get two free tickets per show.
