The sequel to the “buddy cop comedy” “Ride Along” has begun filming in Atlanta. The original film was a huge success at the box office this January. “Ride Along” was filmed in a number of Atlanta locations including: Underground Atlanta, the Georgia State Capitol, Grady High School, and a loft downtown. The sequel will also be filmed in Atlanta as well as Miami. The sequel is set in Miami and, according to Access Atlanta, will reportedly star Miami Heat players Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. Others being added to the cast include Olivia Munn, Ken Jeong, Tika Sumpter, and Benjamin Bratt. Though IMDB currently says “the plot is unknown,” many speculate that it will continue the juxtaposition of the “by-the-book” police officer and his buddy. Access Atlanta even speculates whether Hart’s character will receive his badge and gun in this film.
