The Georgia Film Critics Association list of nominations for the 2018 awards

The 8th annual awards event for the GAFCA will honor their most appreciated films of 2018. The GAFCA is based in Georgia and open to members of the local reviewing press. Currently the GAFCA includes 32 critics, representing different forms of press such as print, radio, online and television media. The selection will honor films in 17 different categories, as well as the Oglethorpe Award for Excellence in Georgia which has honored films such as Selma and Baby Driver in years past. Marvel was successful again this year with multiple of the franchise films receiving nominations. The films with the most nominees include A Star is Born, The Favourite (which won the top accolades from the Atlanta Film Critics Circle Awards), and If Beale Street Could Talk who received 9 nominations each.
