Gaming lifestyle festival DreamHack returns to Atlanta

Gamers are rejoicing over the return of DreamHack. This non-stop 24 hour a day, 3 day festival will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center November 16-18th. The festival features a myriad of gaming opportunities, with esport tournaments, cosplay competitions, collegiate matches, and more. Many prizes will be offered and a chance to show off your skills. According to their press release, “DreamHack is a gaming lifestyle festival where communities from all walks of gaming life come together for a three-day weekend celebrating digital culture IRL (in real life). DreamHack Atlanta features a 24-hour-a-day Local Area Network (LAN) party; esports gaming competitions; university matches; stream studio; console, PC and arcade games; tabletop games; expo; Cosplay Championship; art gallery; indie game zone; main stage with live music; panel discussions, workshops and keynote speakers; and a host of other activities. Gamers can participate or watch professionals compete in esports tournaments with hundreds of thousands of prize dollars on the line.”

The horror genre of fall will also be acknowledged with screenings of the genre included in the festival. Attendees can witness a screening of Slice and the Atlanta horror anthology Fear Haus. Check out Slice as a midnight screening on the main stage, starring Zazie Beats and Chance the Rapper, directed by Austin Vesely.

The event will also feature a lineup of massive musical guests to help keep the party going.

Friday night will feature mega EDM artists such as Slushii, Kill the Noise, and Riot, on the main stage. Hip Hop music takes over Saturday with artists like Mick Jenkins, and London On Da Track.
